Chapter 10

Adam felt the tremors, but he also felt something else! The quiver, the inexperience in the touch of her lips against his, the innocence that was inexplicably revealed in the way her tongue touched his. The darting and then withdrawing as soon as she made contact with him. For some unnerving reason, the idea that this outspoken and incredibly beautiful woman in his arms was not very experienced in the art of lovemaking, in the art of seduction, sent him into such a spin of unbelievable passion that he felt his body shuddering from it! His hands wandered restlessly down her back and against her firm butt, pushing her closer to his rigid thighs. He swallowed her gasp as he deepened the kiss intent on driving out every bit of doubt she had about them! He wanted a fresh start and he wanted it with her. He wanted to show her that he would change, and that change would be because of her. He wanted to prove to her that he could become the man she wanted him to be, the man she deserved to have in her life. He wanted to show her that he was not only capable of becoming a one-woman man but that he was willing to do whatever it took to be the person for her. He wanted to show her a lifetime of love and passion that would belong to her and her alone. He poured all that into the kiss, his body molded against hers, his mouth moving over hers with not only the expertise that he had gained over the years but a passion that only she had brought out in him. His fingers gripped her tight as his hips moved suggestively against her, showing her, letting her feel how she was affecting him. He lifted his mouth from hers after several devastating minutes and looked down at her, his chest heaving with the effort to control the raging desire inside his body! “Open your eyes, love,” he whispered hoarsely. “Look at me.”

She opened them slowly and stared into his eyes, her body vibrating from the havoc he had wreaked with his potent and passion-filled kisses! Her hands were still twined around his neck, the fingers digging into the back of his neck, her body vibrating against his. “I don’t want our first time to be in the dining room, on that table.” He shifted his gaze to look at the starched white tablecloth. “I want it to be special for both of us.”

“We should wait-”

He had no intention of that happening! Without responding, he took her lips with his again, the movement swift and brutally passionate, sending her into such a spin of ecstasy that she had to cling to him, her body churning and spinning out of control! Adam lifted her up against him, his hands spanning her waist as his mouth moved over hers, the heat spinning around him, delving into every pores of his body! He tore his mouth from hers, his heart pounding inside his chest, his gaze hunted as he stared down at her.
